Obituary of Mildred Ruth Van Dyne
Mildred Ruth (Ball) Van Dyne, age 91, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Community Hospice Inn, in Albany, NY. Mrs. Van Dyne was born November 16, 1923 in Clifton, NJ the daughter of the late Charles and the late Addie (Robertson) Ball. She lived in Duanesburg, NY and was formerly of Haledon, NJ. Mildred retired in 1985, after winning the NJ state Lottery. Prior to that, she was employed by Bergen County Community College, Paramus, NJ and was the owner of Van's Luncheonette in Haledon, NJ
She is survived by her devoted children: daughter: Lynn and her husband Ronald Huther and son: David and his wife Jacqueline, eight loving grandchildren, Tami Karinshak and her husband Bryan, Rand Huther and his wife Sara, Jon Huther and his wife Cheryl, Lorin Crewell and her husband Aaron, David Van Dyne and his wife Shannon, Elizabeth Van Dyne, Jennifer Van Dyne and Casandra Van Dyne as well as 14 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, in 1991 and her siblings: Edward and George L. Ball, Ethel B. Clark and Edna Shelton.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 10:30a.m.-11:30a.m.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. and will be celebrated by Rev. Michael McKay.
Interment will follow in Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
