To the children of Charlie Crocker and to Mrs. Crocker:
My condolences to all of you upon the passing of Mr. Crocker. I spoke with him a few times since 1977 when I saw him in Botany Village in Clifton, near his home on Highland Avenue in Passaic. Then, out of the blue he telephoned me on November 1, 2012 after he moved to Garfield and found my telephone number in his papers. I recall our conversation about Tyra, Thesha, Tammy, Bucky, and Samantha. It was nice to hear from him and I was honored that he cared enough to call me. Then, only a month later in early December, I was in New Jersey and telephoned him and visited him at his apartment in Garfield. For an hour or two we chatted about different things, particularly family. Bucky was there, too. I recall fondly and was impressed by Mr. Crocker's politeness and intelligence whenever we talked. For reasons that will forever be in my heart, my heart is always with the Crocker family. Rest in peace, Mr. Crocker.
