Obituary of Irene Marie Smits

Irene Marie (Griglak) Smits, age 82, of Oakland passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's RC Church. Previously, she lived in Pompton Lakes and then Little Egg Harbor Twsp.. Irene was the Loving mother of James and his wife Jennifer, Lori Moore and her husband Robert and Douglas Smits and devoted grandmother of Kelly, Bobby, David, Matthew, Kristen, Patrick and Sean. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph James in 2009. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes. Private cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Christian Health Care Center Foundation, 301 Sicomac Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
