Obituary of Yolanda Nativo

Yolanda (Gioia) Nativo, age 90, died Friday, December 6, 2013, with her loving daughter at her side at home. Mrs. Nativo was born October 8, 1923 in Jersey City, NJ the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Susanna (Arcidiacono) Gioia. She lived in Barnegat and was formerly of Paterson and Wayne. Mrs. Nativo was the owner/operator of D'Angelo's Beauty Salon in Paterson for over fifty years before retiring. She was a former parishioner of St. Stephen's R.C. Church, Paterson. She is survived by her daughter: Susan Bernarducci,her sister: Clara Stamboni, her brother: Richard Gioia her grandson, Anthony and his wife Breanna Bernarducci and great-grandson, Caius Anthony. She was predeceased by her husband, Angelo Nativo, her son, Peter Nativo and her grandson, Vincent Bernarducci.Also her brothers: Frank, August and Anthony Gioia and sisters; Florence Tudisco,Anna Morrissey, Josephine Cavanaugh, Frances Mitchel and Catherine Thorne. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 3-7 PM. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation Of New Jersey, 1347 Perrineville Rd., Moroe Township, NJ 08831-9006.
