Barbara, Renne, and Daniel,
Back before time began I was a friend of Jean-Guy. We worked at Burns and Roe together in 1974 and then the M.W. Kellogg Co. in Hackensack, NJ. He lived in North Bergen at the time and I in Hackensack. He was 29 and I , 21. We used to go to lunch together. I remember him always happy go lucky. I was a mechanical engineer working with him and he was the French Canadian. I once visited him at his house and he had had a fight with his wife that night. For some reason or another I felt I should look for him tonight. Well I found him immediately. My condolences to you all and I will pray for him. God rest his soul.

It is only somewhat less difficult to deal with the loss of my father having been able to see him shortly prior. Although he and I did not see eye-to-eye on many things, I never doubted his love for me. I am happy that I was able to give him grandchildren to dote on and spoil. We will all miss him dearly.

Dear Barbara, so sorry, and sad, about Jean's passing. Thank you for being so caring all these years. His illness made it difficult at times, to meet his need but you always came through as a loving and dedicated wife. Jean is at peace now. How wonderful rest is. How much more beautiful is that everlasting rest, which marks an end to his earthly pain and suffering. Our memories of Jean will forever be in our hearts. Love, Claudette & Wally

I wish to express my deepest Sympathy and offer my Condolences to Barbara (Barb)
and all of his Family, some of which I knew from my days in Bathurst.
We were good friends in Bathurst High School, took Architectural Drafting, led the class, were in the Army Cadets, Second Battalion Royal New Brunswick Regiment (Reserves) together. I maintained contact all of these years. I usually phoned him frequently, usually on Sundays.
I will miss our phone calls I am grateful that Barb has friends whom are a support system for her in this time of need.

Dear Barbara, we are so sorry, and are still in shock from the passing of our brother. We are numb and still trying to accept the fact that we will never see him again, until we meet in a better place, where there is no pain and suffering. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the care you gave Jean-Guy during his long sickness. We know that is was trying at times but you did not abandon him. We will be forever grateful for that. You and Jean-Guy were very grateful hosts and we will never forget the good times we had on our many visits to NJ. May God grant you peace and comfort during this time of grief. We will meet again, in NB soon. You will always be a great friend and member of the Bourque family. God bless you. With all our love, Rose and Lawrence

We were so broken hearted when we got a call about our brother`s passing, we were numb and still are. So I cannot imagine how you felt, Barbara, as you were not expecting it to happen when it did. He was such a generous soul, good brother and very hospitable when we were at your house. You received us as special guests, taking us to visit NYC, good restaurants and never wanting us to pay for our own meals. Jean-Guy was generous to a fault. We will miss him dearly. My prayers are that you will be comforted and seek God for going through this grief. Without your constant care, Jean-Guy would not have lived as long as he did, as he needed you for everything. We thank you for that. We appreciate the attention you gave him to make his last days comfortable. We love you and await your attendance in NB soon. You will always be accepted as a good friend and member of the Bourque family. God bless you. With all our love, Rose and Lawrence
