Obituary of Robert K. Mac Kinnon
Robert K. Mac Kinnon, age 93, died Monday, December 2, 2013 at Oakland Care Center. Mr. Mac Kinnon was born November 24, 1920 in Peabody, MA the son of the late Daniel and the late Phoebe (Dunsford) Mac Kinnon. He lived in Pompton Plains and was formerly of Wayne. He served in the US Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Mac Kinnon retired from Seton Company in Newark, in 1983 where he was a plant manager for 46 years. He was a former member of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church in Wayne and St. Joseph R.C. Church in Toms River.
Mr. Mac Kinnon is survived by his beloved wife Alice (Cannon) Mac Kinnon; his loving children Mary and her husband Don Whitehead, Susan and her husband Ray Reynoso, Robert and his wife Linda, Thomas and his wife Alfie, and Larry and his wife Carol; his 10 devoted grandchildren; 11 cherished great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, 45 Urban Club Rd., Wayne and will be celebrated by Msgr. Peter J. Doody.
