Obituary of Dennis James Smith

Dennis James Smith, age 65, died peacefully after a year long battle with cancer on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Hospice of New Jersey, Wayne. Mr. Smith was born August 5, 1946 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Robert and the late Ellen (Dodd) Smith. He lived in Oak Ridge. Mr. Smith was retired from Morlite Sales Company Fair Lawn in 2007 where he was an auto and truck mechanic. He was an Avid Bowler at Butler Bowl and more recently at Holiday Bowl in Oakland. He is survived by his wife: Bettyann (Duffy) Smith, his daughter: Elayne and her husband Peter Liggieri his sister: Patricia and her husband Don Argott and two grandsons, Andrew & Kenneth Liggieri. He was predeceased by his Parents, Robert and Ellen (Dodd) Smith and a Brother, Robert. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be Wednesday at 8:15 pm and will be celebrated by Ruthann Disotell. Cremation will be Private In lieu of flowers, Memorials donations may be made to the Family.
