Obituary of Robert J Weis

Robert J Weis, age 93,of Wayne, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital. Mr. Weis was born March 19, 1918 in Cliffside Park, NJ the son of the late Ferdinand and the late Hanna (Larkin) Weis. During World War II,he ran various USO clubs around the US. He was later employed by American Cyanamid, Wayne, NJ as a Systems Analyst for over 40 years before retiring. Mr. Weis was a founding member and a lector over 30 years at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, Wayne. He is survived by his wife of 66 years : Marie(Schaefer) Weis, one daughter: Martha Weis and her husband George Podgorski and three sons: Robert M., Joseph P. and his Wife Tracy and Thomas; 6 grandchildren: Elizabeth, Michael, Nicholas,Hannah, Andrea and Shannon and 3 great-grandchildren: Tristin, Taryn & Taylor. Visiting hours will be Saturday from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM. The funeral Mass will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and will be Celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
