Obituary of Anthony Salvatore

Anthony Salvatore, age 73, of Wayne, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mr. Salvatore was born January 31, 1938 in Newark, the son of the late Antonio and the late Virginia (Lardiere) Salvatore. He was the owner and operator of the Preakness Pharmacy in Wayne for 23 years, retiring in 2001. Mr. Salvatore is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Fay (Marino); his loving children, Tony and his wife Marianne Salvatore, Jerry Salvatore, Gina and her husband Andrew Denyer, Fay Salvatore and Annmarie and her husband Dr. Norman Hetzler; 19 cherished grandchildren and his dear brothers Gerald and his wife Gladys and Daniel. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 1-5 p.m. The funeral Mass will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael Lombardo and Fr. Ed Lambro. Interment will follow in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
