Obituary of Nancy Carnes

Nancy (Ewing) Carnes, age 83, died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Hospice of New Jersey, Wayne. Mrs. Carnes was born October 31, 1930 in Paterson, the daughter of the late Duncan and the late Jean (Thompson) Ewing. She lived in Pompton Lakes and was a member of the Pompton Reformed Church. Mrs. Carnes retired after 23 years of service as a traffic coordinator of rail cars for American Cyanamid in Wayne. She then became a crossing guard for Pompton Lakes for 25 years, retiring in June 2013. Mrs. Carnes is survived by her beloved children Nancy and her husband Matthew Facciolo, Douglas and his wife Colleen and Scott and his wife Jodi; her loving grandchildren, Nicole, Sean, Michelle, Heather, Aaron, Zoe and Zackary; and her cherished great-granddaughter, Lindsey. Visiting hours will be Saturday from 2-6 p.m. The funeral service will be Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Rev. Debbie Rundecker. Private cremation to follow. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
