Obituary of Joyce A. Markert

Joyce A. (Oberg) Markert, age 78, died Wednesday, November 30, 2011. Mrs. Markert was born December 8, 1932 in Long Branch, the daughter of the late Arthur Edgar and the late Mabel (Lawyer) Oberg. She lived in Pompton Plains and was formerly of Wayne. Mrs. Markert retired from Singer-Kearfott, Wayne, where she was a switch board operator. Mrs. Markert is survived by her beloved children, Wendy Joyce Markert and Paul F. Markert, Jr.; her loving sister, Eleanor Boehm and brothers, Donald Oberg, Frank H. Oberg; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul F. Markert, Sr. in 1982. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and will be celebrated by Chaplain Alan Bowen. Interment will be in Fair Lawn Memorial Park, Fair Lawn.
