Obituary of Charles D Reilly
Charles D Reilly, Sr., age 73, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Hospice of New Jersey, Wayne. Mr. Reilly was born August 3, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY the son of the late Charles A. and the late Myrtle (Hobbs) Reilly. He lived in Montville and was formerly of Wayne. Mr. Reilly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. Before retiring, he was employed by the road and water departments for the Township of Wayne for 41 years, as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Reilly attended St. Pius X R.C. Church, Montville and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Joyce (Muller) Reilly; his loving children, Patricia and her husband Thomas Radcliffe and Charles D., Jr. and his wife Susan; devoted grandfather of Jenna and Gabrielle Reilly and Thomas and Hanna Radcliffe; dear brother of Louise Neurouter, Eve Ann and her husband Darryl Renna and Adam Reilly and his wife Debra and devoted uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
The funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 24 Changebridge Road, Montville and will be celebrated by Father Mark Olenowski.
Private cremation to follow.
