Obituary of Norman Thomas Kirby

Norman Thomas Kirby, Sr., age 63, died Sunday, September 11, 2011 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Kirby was born June 24, 1948 in Paterson, the son of the late Norman G. and the late Dorothy (Fitzgerald) Kirby. Mr. Kirby served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He lived in Haskell and attended of St. Catherine's RC Church in Ringwood. He retired from the Pepsi Bottling Company in Piscataway where he was a tractor trailer driver. Mr. Kirby is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Joan (Gander) Kirby; his loving children, Norman T., Jr.; Kelly and her husband Larry McNamee and Lina Kirby; his cherished grandchildren, Shauna and Connor; and his dear brothers, Wayne and his wife Pamela and Dean and his wife Natalie. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. and will be celebrated by Fr. Richard Husted. Cremation will be in Laurel Grove Crematory, Totowa. Memorial donations in Mr. Kirby's name may be made to your favorite charity.
