Obituary of Dorothy Treier

Dorothy (Muller) Treier, age 87, died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. Mrs. Treier was born April 30, 1924 in Passaic, the daughter of the late George and the late Rebecca A. (Nadsen) Muller. Before moving to Toms River, she lived in Wayne for over 30 years. She was employed by A.D. DuMont Labs in Clifton in the Instrument Division, before retiring. Mrs. Treier was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Wayne for 30 years. Mrs. Treier was the beloved sister of Jean Grootenboer of Manchester; loving aunt of Neil and his wife Grootenboer of Middletown; great aunt of Craig Grootenboer and Dana Szoke and loving grand aunt of Braden, Devin, Avery and Madison. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Treier in 1965. Visiting hours will be Monday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1219 Ratzer Rd., Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. John Donnelly. Interment will be in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
