I had the good fortune to serve with Jake on the Haledon Ambulance. He was a most dedicated public servant. He set the standard for volunteer service to the community. A sort of Jackie Gleason rotund bus driver with the petite Edith, Evert and I enjoyed referring to them as Ralph and Alice. I salute you Jake and wish you a fond farewell, thank you for all the life lessons you shared with me.
