Obituary of Rosalie Marie Masseri

Rosalie Marie (Albanese) Masseri, age 73, of Wayne passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Mrs. Masseri was a former Passaic County Surrogate, former Wayne Town Councilwoman and President and a member of the Wayne Republican Club. Mrs. Masseri was the director of Career Beginnings Program in Passaic County Community College and of the Passaic County Adult Day Care Center in Wayne. She was inducted into the Italian-American National Hall of Fame. Mrs. Masseri was a member of St. Mary's RC Church in Pompton Lakes. Mrs. Masseri was the loving mother of Michael Masseri, Lisa and her husband Steve Mills, Nancy and her husband Dominic Pandiscia and Jennifer and her husband Billy LaMorte; beloved grandmother of Michael, Joseph, Cecila, Domenick and Charlie; dear sister of Robert J. Albanese, Jr. and William Albanese. She was predeceased by her former husband, Angelo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes. Visiting on Sunday from 2-5 & 7-9 PM. Interment is in St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi.
