Obituary of Jon Philip Dahl
Jon Philip Dahl, born June 8, 1951 in Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on July 19, 2011. He will be deeply missed.
Jon's talent for making us laugh and his ever present sense of fun is just a small measure of what will be missed. Jon's zest for life and sense of adventure carried us along. He was a wonderful storyteller. With unbounded generosity and creative spirit, he sought to leave all places he touched better than the way he found them.
Jon was employed by Xanadu Gallery, working with ancient Asian and African antiquities that fed his childlike wonder and appreciation for beauty. Earlier in his career, Jon traveled around the world on the QE2 as an Art Director.
Jon leaves behind his beloved partner of 24 years, Roger Azevedo, his dog Curly and a life in San Francisco he cherished. Also surviving Jon are his sisters, Alison Dahl and Elizabeth J Dahl, his brother, James E. Dahl, his nephew, Andrew Lupalovsky, his loving aunts, uncles, cousins and many lifelong friends.
