Obituary of Robert John Hobmeier

Robert John Hobmeier, age 70, died Monday, October 21, 2013 at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson. Mr. Hobmeier was born November 30, 1942 in Bloomfield, the son of the late Robert and the late Blanche (Polchlopek) Hobmeier. He was formerly of Bloomfield, moving to Wayne in 1966 when he married his wife Barbara. He served in the US Army National Guard. Mr. Hobmeier had a BS in marketing and was the Vice President at Kuhnke Automation, Inc. in Wayne. He was a member of the Packanack Lake Community. Mr. Hobmeier was the beloved husband of 47 years of Barbara (Mokricki) Hobmeier; loving brother of Judy Hobmeier and George Miskar, Ruth and her husband Dean Gaston, and Joseph and his wife Christine Hobmeier; and the dear uncle of several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. There will be a private cremation.
