Obituary of Gloria Jamandre

Gloria (Duremdes) Jamandre, age 84, of Dumangas, Iloilo, Philippines, currently residing in Wayne, NJ died Monday, July 4, 2011. Mrs. Jamandre was born January 16, 1927 in the Philippines, the daughter of the late Augustine and the late Carmencita (Divinagracia) Duremdes. She had been a retired schoolteacher and a librarian and an active member of St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church. Lola Gloria had persevered and conquered breast cancer and overcame cataracts and glaucoma. She loved to write to families and friends determined to keep each other well connected. Beloved wife of the late Eliseo Powell Jamandre; Loving mother to Eden, Gloeli, Kenn, Powell III and Austin. Dedicated grandmother to Lj, Boneli, Powell, EJ, Ria, Rio and Justin. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-6 p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday at 5:00 p.m. and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Interment is scheduled for Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Dumangas Municipal Cemetery after services at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church.
