Obituary of Elmer C. Karsch

Elmer C. Karsch, age 82, died Thursday, May 26, 2011 at home in Wayne. Mr. Karsch was born December 25, 1928 in Hackensack, the son of the late Emil and the late Elsie Eve (Bochnar) Karsch. He lived in Wayne for over 50 years. Mr. Karsch served in the US Army during the Korean War. Before retiring as maintenance worker from Wayne Township, he was a builder in home construction. Mr. Karsch is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years Mae (Manskie) Karsch; his two loving daughters Linda and her husband Thomas Stefanczyk and Gail and the late Marshall Goldstein and his cherished grandchildren, Julia, Dana, Jedd, Mark, Genna and Jesse. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes and will be celebrated by Fr. Kevin Downey. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in South Hackensack. Memorial donations in Mr. Karsch's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
