Obituary of Herbert A Papendick

Herbert A Papendick, age 96, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at home in Haledon. Mr. Papendick was born April 4, 1915 in Passaic, the son of the late Gustav and the late Leopoldina (Meier) Papendick. Mr. Papendick served as a Chief Warrant Officer in the US Army during World War II. He was a sales manager for Home Fuel Oil Co in Glen Rock for over 60 years. Mr. Papendick attended Wyckoff Baptist Church. He was past president of the Haledon PAL and served on the Haledon Board of Education. Mr. Papendick survived by his beloved children Herbert W. and his wife Lois, George A. and his wife Jean, Carl E. and his wife Katherine, Linda Tambasco and Susan and her husband Aldo Domenichini; 16 loving grandchildren and 16 cherished great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen June Hockenberry and great-grandson, Michael. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Pastor Ryan Baitzel. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
