Obituary of Evelyn Fifer

Evelyn (Smith) Fifer, age 85, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at home in Wayne. Mrs. Fifer was born April 13, 1926 in Whitestone, NY the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Josephine (Marburger) Smith. She was a banquet waitress at The Bethwood in Totowa for many years. Mrs. Fifer was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church. She was a lovable person with a great attitude toward life. Mrs. Fifer is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Edward R. Fifer; her loving children, Christine G. Fifer and Gary E. Fifer; and her dearest brother Richard T. Smith. Visiting hours will be Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 1219 Ratzer Rd., Wayne and will be celebrated by Fr. John Donnelly. Interment will be in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton.
