Obituary of Concetta Fernicola

Concetta "Connie" (Guarriello) Fernicola, age 85, died Monday, March 28, 2011 at Regency Gardens Nursing Center in Wayne. She was born March 21, 1926 in Haledon, the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Esther (Mattarazzo) Guarriello. Mrs. Fernicola lived in Wayne and was formerly of Washington, NJ, Paterson and Dover. Before retiring, she was a supervisor at Celebrity Corp in Paterson. Mrs. Fernicola was a parishioner of St. Mary Help of Christians R.C. Church in Paterson and attended St. Mary's R.C. Church in Pompton Lakes. Mrs. Fernicola is survived by her beloved children: David Paul and his wife Marilyn, Deborah and her husband Paul Beshlian and Charles and his wife Cynthia; her loving grandchildren: David, Cara, Melissa, Michael, Craig and Amanda; her cherished great-grandson Luke; her dear brother Mario Guarriello and her loving sister Mae Milardo. She was predeceased by her husband, Carmine in 2008 and her siblings Lillian Platel, Alice Zellers and Anthony Guarriello. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Friday at 8:30 a.m. at the funeral home and Mass at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave in Pompton Lakes will be celebrated by Fr. Kevin Downey. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Memorial donations in Mrs. Fernicola's name may be made to Music Ministry, c/o St. Mary's R.C. Church, Pompton Lakes.
