Obituary of Virginia Blundo

Virginia (Criscione) Blundo, age 85, died Friday, March 4, 2011 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mrs. Blundo was born August 2, 1925 in North Bergen, NJ the daughter of the late Carmelo and the late Mary (Costello) Criscione. She lived in Wayne. Mrs. Blundo earned her undergraduate degree at William Paterson University and later earned her Master's degree and PhD in Philosophy at Columbia University. She was a Philosophy professor employed by Drew University, Seton Hall and later at William Paterson University. She also was a well known lecturer in the Northern NJ area. She is survived by her son: Mark; a sister: Marie Salerno and two brothers: Arthur and Emanuel Criscione many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her Husband, Salvatore in 1999. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM. The funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:00 am at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, 45 Urban Club Rd., Wayne and will be celebrated by Msgr. Peter J. Doody. Interment will be in Flower Hill Cemetery, North Bergen.
