Obituary of Cristelia Diaz

Cristelia (Hernandez) Diaz, age 73, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at home in Totowa. Mrs. Diaz was born November 11, 1937 in Ponce, Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Jose and the late Maria (Breban) Hernandez. Before retiring, Mrs. Diaz had been a visiting nurse. She was a member of St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church. Mrs. Diaz is survived by her beloved sons: Raymond and his wife Victoria Diaz, Jr. and Joseph Cruz; her cherished grandchildren, Patrick Raymond Diaz and Danielle Cruz, Melissa Cruz, David Cruz and Joseph Cruz, Jr.; her dear siblings, Isabelle Stella, Esther Cuadrado, Miriam Salek and Andres Hernandez and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Diaz was predeceased by her husband Raymond Diaz, Sr. in 2004. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral will be at Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson and will be celebrated by Fr. Rijo. Entombment will be in Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa.
