Obituary of Dolores Verga

Dolores (Chisari) Verga, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Mrs. Verga was born September 20th, in Paterson, the daughter of the late Antonio and the late Rose (Pierro) Chisari. She lived in Totowa and was formerly of Elmwood Park and Paramus. Mrs. Verga was co-owner with her husband of Verga Realty in Elmwood Park. She was a former parishioner and member of the Rosary Altar Society at St. Leo's R.C. Church, Elmwood Park. She also was employed by Becton-Dickinson, Rutherford, as a Supervisor / Inspector. Most recently, Mrs. Verga was a parishioner of St. James of the Marches R.C. Church, Totowa. Mrs. Verga is the beloved wife of 60 years, Joseph , loving mother of Karen and her husband Daniel Cooney, Jody Verga and her husband Edward Poolas and Gary Verga; devoted grandmother of Ryan, Danny, Michael and Jaclyn and dear sister of Josephine Giudice, Dorothy DeAlesandro, Joseph and his wife Lynn Chisari and Anthony and his wife Marge Chisari. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at St. James of the Marches R.C. Church, 410 Totowa Rd.,Totowa and will be celebrated by Fr. Marek Krysiak. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
