Obituary of Dorothy Sunshine Vander Hoop

Dorothy Sunshine (Legg) Vander Hoop, age 88, of Haledon, died Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Dellridge Care Center, Paramus. Mrs. Vander Hoop was born July 28, 1922 in Paterson, the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Margaret (Valentine) Legg. She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Paterson. Mrs. Vander Hoop is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Cornelius Vander Hoop; her loving children: Darlene Vander Hoop and Robert Collina and daughter in law Ellen Carter; her cherished grandchildren: Danny and Kenny Collina and Klee Vander Hoop and 4 great-grandchildren; her dear niece and nephew, Edna and Joseph Rome and her loving sister-in-law, Pat Pearn and brother-in-law, Richard Vander Hoop. The funeral will be on Friday, December 24, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Rev. Michael McKay. Visiting on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Interment will be in Fair Lawn Memorial Park, Fair Lawn.
