Obituary of Anne G. Perzanowski
Anne G. Perzanowski died on December 2, 2010. She was 91.
She was born in Brooklyn and raised in Floral Park, NY. She graduated with a BA in History from Long Island University and started teaching American History at Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park. She became a much-beloved teacher, with many students gathering at the church on her wedding day, and being invited to countless student high school reunions over many years. Because she was passionate about teaching she went on to earn a Master's degree from the Teachers College of Columbia University in Manhattan.
When she was in her 20's, she was the President of the Polish American Collegiate Association, a New York City youth organization sponsored by the Kosciuszko Foundation. Here is where she met her beloved Stanley, who she married in 1952. She moved to New Jersey and lived in Wayne since 1957, raising a daughter.
She loved to travel and visited many exciting places around the world. Locally she was very active in the Annunciation Church.
This smart, witty and very special woman is survived by her loving daughter, Joan Perzanowski of Little Falls.
