Obituary of Carl G. Leckburg

Carl G. Leckburg, age 78, died suddenly, Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg. Mr. Leckburg was born February 14, 1932 in Verona, NJ the son of the late Carl G and the late Edith M (Brooks) Leckburg. He lived in Oakland and was formerly of Bloomfield. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean war and earned the Distinguished Service Award. He was retired from PSE&G Co., Oradell, NJ in 1996 where he was a Service Supervisor and served as Union President for many years. Mr. Leckburg was a member of Wednesday Morning Breakfast Club. He was an Avid Golfer, Bowler, Hunter and Tennis Player. He is survived by his Loving Family: Muriel(Mues) Leckburg,his wife of 54 years, two daughters: Carlyn G. and her husband Bill Walsh and Debra and her husband Jeff Keyser and one son: Edward C. and his wife Gina M. one brother: Donald Leckburg, 6 grandchildren, Jaclyn and Kevin Walsh, Alexa and Brian Keyser and Cole And Jared Leckburg,; Nieces and nephews; Marlisa Senchak-Delaney,Michael Senchak, Christy and Daniel Leckburg, Kathy, Craig and Chip Mues. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Leckburg and a nephew, Robert Leckburg. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 am will be Celebrated by Dr. David Wiley. Interment will be in Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa.
