Obituary of Egilda Salemme

Egilda (Presta) Salemme, age 81, died Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood. Mrs. Salemme was born April 3, 1929 in Calabria, Italy, the daughter of the late John and the late Maria Presta. She lived in Wayne and was formerly of Paterson. She was employed as a seamstress in the Garment Industry in Paterson and later by Minardi Bakery in Paterson. She is survived by her children; Rosemarie and Frank Cardillo, Joseph and John and his Wife Regina .two sisters: Pasqualina and Yolanda, 8 grandchildren, Christina, Michele, Frank, Jennifer ,Michael, Stephanie, Tanya, and Steven and 4 Great Grandchildren: Alyssa, Lianna, Anthony & Vincent. She was predeceased by her Husband, Battista in 1997. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral Mass will be Monday at 9:30 am at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes and will be Celebrated by Fr. Kevin Downey. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
