Obituary of Frank Jacob Pavlica
Frank Jacob Pavlica, age 80, died Sunday, October 17, 2010 at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Paterson. Mr.Pavlica was born August 6, 1930 in Garfield, NJ the son of the late Jacob and the late Catherine (Lapsansky) Pavlica. He was formerly of Wallington and lived in Wayne for 50 years. He served in the US Army during the Korean war. He was employed by Union Local # 274 as a Pipe Fitter for 56 years and worked at Aerodyne Engineering as a General Foreman, Clifton for 32 years. Mr. Pavlica was a parishioner and usher at Our Lady Of The Valley RC Church, Wayne and a member of the Knights of Columbus # 6354. He was also a member of the Golden Age Club of Wayne and a Charter member of the BPO Elks #2181, Wayne.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Mary Jane(Felice) , one daughter: Cathy Pavlica, one son: Frank Pavlica and one sister: Helen Tomaskovic. He was predeceased by his brother, Jack Pavlica.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 9:30 am at Our Lady Of The Valley R.C. Church, 630 Valley Rd., Wayne and will be Celebrated by Father Frank Hreno and Father Dan Murphy. Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Paterson.
