I don't remember ever seeing Milt without a smile on his face. He was patient, with me for example, as a young child years ago, helping to keep the Duster level one windy Sunday. He and Howie U. kept the junior program alive at Pines Lake for many years. I wish all of his family the best; he was a true gentleman.

Our deepest sympathy. We have given up a great treasure. I remember Milt, Claire, Bobby, Nancy, and their newborn Bruce from their early days on Delia Blvd., in Palisades Park. I was intrigued then and have always held in memory the play yard he built for the children. First positioning it carefully so that Claire had an easy view from their second floor window. Then he designed a gate, easy to slide up for an adult, difficult for a child.
Many years passed before we caught up with him again in Pines Lake. Still he was paying attention to the details. Making sure the Seniors had hot water for coffee, the learn to sail program had a mentor, and always with a cheerful smile. He truly participated fully in life he was given and we will be the less for his departure. Peace and love, Marion

Aside from all the physical gifts which were greatly appreciated and very helpful in this life (thank you PopPop!), I observed that PopPop had a lot of wisdom to share through the way he lived his life. I couldn't get PopPop mad even if I had tried. And neither could anyone else. I'd like to share a simple story that I think of from time to time. PopPop told me how he got a call that his row-boat was found on the opposite side of Pines Lake. Apparently some youngsters had broken the lock off, took it for a spin, then abandoned it and left it to float on its own will. Immediately upon hearing this story I got upset. How dare these punks mess with my PopPop, who are they?,where can I find them?, I thought. So I asked, doesn't that make you mad? (cause it obviously made me mad) He gave a huge smile and said oohh noo (like it never even crossed his mind to get mad about that). I think he even found it funny!... Its just a great example of how perspective creates perception and perception creates experience. I truly believe the positive perspective PopPop had on life is what had him experiencing skiing with me in is late 80s, and laughing at the Thanksgiving table into his 90s! Thanks for showing us a positive way to live PopPop!
Other memories: Fishing Pines Lake, Houseboating Lake Powell, Sailing BVI, skiing Okemo, College graduation, every holiday every year, slide shows of his vacations, Sunday River, catching the biggest fish at Aunt Nancy/Uncle Tim's lake house, visiting his home in NJ, helpin me dig for worms, and taking the spiky sun fish off of my hook for me! And for all the other ones not listed - THANK YOU!
