Obituary of Mary Saccal

Mary (Makoujy) Saccal, age 95, died Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at St. Vincent's Nursing Home, Cedar Grove. Mrs. Saccal was born August 24, 1914 in Phillipsburg, NJ the daughter of the late Norman and the late Anna (Khoury) Makoujy. She recently lived in Totowa and was formerly of Paterson. Mrs. Saccal was a member of St. Gerard Majella RC Church, Paterson and past president of their Rosary Society. She is survived by four loving daughters: Rose and her husband Tony Sano, Jane and her husband Tommy DePasquale, Shirley DeMeyer, Margie and her husband Peter Previte, two devoted sons: George and his wife Laura Saccal, Joseph and his wife Kate Saccal; 18 cherished grandchildren and many great grandchildren; her dear sister Evelyn Atieh and her loving brother Joseph Makoujy. Mrs. Saccal was predeceased by her husband Harry, her brothers, Jack, Anthony and George and her sisters Nora, Agness and Alice. The funeral Mass will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Gerard Majella R.C. Church, 501 West Broadway, Paterson. Visiting Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Entombment will be in Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. Memorial donations in Mrs. Saccal's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905
