Obituary of Anthony Tacinelli
Anthony Tacinelli, age 83, died Saturday, July 10, 2010 at St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital, Wayne. Mr. Tacinelli was born December 8, 1926 in Paterson, the son of the late Vincenzo and the late Crestina (Van Dar Heydem) Tacinelli. Mr. Tacinelli lived in Oakland and was formerly of Paterson. He served in the US Navy during World War II on the SS Crater and received the World War II Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Asiatic Pacific Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. Mr. Tacinelli retired from the Post Office in Paterson in 1987 where he was a supervisor.
Mr. Tacinelli is survived by his beloved wife Blanche (Majewski), his loving daughter Christina and her husband Walter Segro; cherished grandchildren Christina Marie and Anthony Vincent Segro; and his dear sister: Josephine Davidson.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
The funeral will be at 8:30 am at the funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady Of Perpetual Help R.C. Church, 25 Perdue Avenue in Oakland, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Lipniki.
Entombment will be in Garden Of Memories in Washington Township.
