Obituary of Norman G. Kirby
Norman G. Kirby, age 88, died Sunday, June 20, 2010 at home in Manchester Township. Mr. Kirby was born June 28, 1921 in Sherbrooke, Quebec; Canada. He was formerly of North Haledon. Mr. Kirby served in the US Marine Corps during World War II and was stationed in Okinawa. He was a loom mechanic in the textile industry in Paterson for many years before retiring from the Pepsi Cola Company where he was a truck mechanic. Mr. Kirby was a member of St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson
Mr. Kirby was the loving father of three sons, Wayne and his wife Pamela, Norman and his wife Joan and Dean and his wife Natalie and the devoted grandfather of 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Fitzgerald) in 2001.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Ramsey St. and Danforth Ave., Paterson and will be celebrated by Fr. Christopher.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.
