Obituary of Lyman B. Lockwood, Jr.

Lyman B. Lockwood, Jr., age 77, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Hospice of New Jersey, Wayne. Mr. Lockwood was born in Fresno, CA, the son of the late Lyman B. and the late Alice (Hummel) Lockwood. He he was a resident of Wayne since 1961. Mr. Lockwood served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956. He retired from Rexon Technology in Wayne where he was a machinist and tool maker for many years. Mr. Lockwood was an avid motorcycle enthusiast; he built and flew a gyrocopter, and he had been a member of the Cherry Ridge Rifle & Pistol Range. Mr. Lockwood is survived by his beloved wife, Marjorie (Schopback); their loving children, Diana Lockwood, Elizabeth and her husband Roy Ellse, Alicia and her husband Mark McDonough, Lyman Lockwood, III; 2 step-grandchildren, 2 step-great grandchildren and his sister Barbara Hardenberg. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robin Mountenay celebrating his life. The interment will be in East Ridgelawn Cemetery in Clifton.
