The first time I met Aunt Dotty was August 1976. Her neice Pat was my Maid of Honor at my wedding. Aunt Dot, her sister Joan, and mother Jane came to Belmar, NJ to watch the ceremony out by the bushes of the church. When I reunited with her again in 2009 we laughed over the thought of the family in the bushes watching me get married! The whole visit was a barrel of laughs. I hadn't laughed that much in a long time! Her greatest gift to me was her sense of humor. What a joy it was to spend time with her again. Aunt Dotty you will be missed!

"Funny Aunt Dotty" is the compliment I would always give my aunt who had a great sense of humor, and also a wonderful laugh.
Growing up I remember both my aunt and uncle being very busy as property managers. Aunt Dot was quick to give orders, reliable, and supportive when needed.
"The Spirit of 76" Aunt Dot had a good positive outlook on life. Her illness did not keep her down. Aunt Dot was always on the go browsing the stores for bargains, going to the shore, or her favorite spots in PA. She loved bingo and trying her luck at the games of chance on the boardwalk. You never found her sitting around channel serfing.
I am glad I spent time with her and Uncle Tom back in 2009 at their home. We, the 3 retirees, hung out and for the first time got to share a TV show with Aunt Dot "Dancing with the Stars". Where ever we were we would get home in time for that show.
In closing, Aunt Dot, you are now dancing with the stars. The spirit of 76 fun, good years.
That's Dorothy Nance!

The 1st time I met Aunt Dotty was in 1976 at my first wedding in which her neice Patricia Radicia was my Maid of Honor. I guess I forgot to invite her so I really didn't meet her, but she was there! We had a great laugh about her, her sister Joan and her mother in the bushes watching my wedding. The long story is "the greatest gift" Aunt Dotty had to give to me ......her sense of humor. I laughed more in the few days I spent with her than I had in a long time. She has a very contagious hardy laugh. I will miss her.... My best wishes to all of her family and friends, and of course Uncle Tom.

"Funny Aunt Dotty." is the compliment I would make-because when you were around her there were always laughs to be had! My aunt had a great sense of humor, and will be missed by our family.
Aunt Dot was also a good support system. When you needed her-she was there. When she was invited-she showed.
"The Spirit of 76" Dorothy Nance was always on the go. You never found her sitting around channel surfing.
Shopping for bargains or just browsing, going to the shore, visiting the country side in PA, enjoying her family and friends.
Aunt Dot you will always have a special place in my heart. Love, Pat
