Obituary of John Wallace Akers

John W. Akers, age 51, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack. Mr. Akers was born February 6, 1959 in Indianapolis, IN the son of the late Vincent Norman and the late Mary Ellen (Carmin) Akers. He lived in Hackensack and did the maintenance at J.P. Management for many years. Mr. Akers was an avid cat lover. Mr. Akers is survived by his beloved siblings: Robert Akers, Ellanor Akers, Melody Akers and Jean Forster; many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He will also be missed by countless friends. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with a service celebrated by Fr. Brian Laffler. A private cremation will follow.
