Obituary of Robert Harrison Postal

Robert Harrison Postal, age 96, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Wayne. He was born May 2, 1913 in Bronx, NY the son of the late Jake and the late Tillie (Kurtzman) Postal. Mr. Postal lived in Floral Park and Clifton before moving to Wayne. He was a graduate of City College in New York and earned his Masters degree in Physics at Stevens Institute. Mr. Postal was employed by Department of the Army at the Pentagon in Washington, DC during WWII. He was a physicist at Edison Labs, West Orange and later was the Head of Research & Development at American Cyanamid in Wayne until retiring. Mr. Postal was the beloved husband of the late Debby (Abramson); loving father of Victoria and her husband Charles Tomasino and Madeline and her husband John Royce; and devoted grandfather of Dana Tomasino and Jenny Rhodes. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 3-5 p.m. The funeral service will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
