Obituary of George William Pugh

George William Pugh, age 91, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at home in Paterson. Mr. Pugh was born January 7, 1919 in Unionville, NY, son of the late William R. and the late Leila (Simerson) Pugh. He served in the US Navy and the US Army during World War II. Mr. Pugh was a boiler maker at Leslie & Elliott in Paterson and retired from C J Vander Beck in Paterson. He was a member of American Legion Post 174 in Wayne for 46 years. Mr. Pugh is survived by his loving daughters, Georgeanna Pugh and Dorothy and her husband Edward DiPatria; 4 devoted grandchildren, Herman, Darnell, Scott and Pamela; and 5 cherished great grandchildren, Heather, Zachary, Richard, Michael and Dylan. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Stansfield) in 2001 and 2 grandsons, George and Edward. Visiting hours will be Friday from 7-9 p.m. The graveside service will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, 295 Totowa Rd., Totowa.
