Obituary of Albert Philip DePope
Albert Philip DePope, age 93, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Oakland Care Center, Oakland. Mr. DePope was born August 26, 1916 in Paterson, the son of the late Philip and the late Lena (Cabo) DePope. He lived in Pompton Lakes and was formerly of Paterson and Wayne. Before he retired, Mr. DePope was employed for 26 years by Manhattan Shirt Company in Paterson. He was a member of Calvary Temple. Mr. DePope was active with the Golden Age Circle of Wayne, Our Lady of Consolation Active Seniors, the Golden Key of Mt. View, the Riverdale Seniors, and the Willowbrook Outreach Center
Mr. DePope is survived by his loving daughter Alice and her husband Bob LaPoint; devoted grandchildren, William Tinsey and Anisa Mainiero; cherished great-grandchildren, Sean Tinsey, Leonard, Shelby and Lucia Mainiero; and many dear nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Evelyn Dean.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 6-9 p.m.
The funeral service will be Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home and will be celebrated by Pastor Dan Kuert.
Private cremation will follow.
