Obituary of Catherine Staats

Catherine (Spates) Staats, age 83, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Llanfair House, Wayne. Mrs. Staats was born April 17, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Howard and the late Lillian (Rascovar) Spates. She lived in Wayne. Mrs. Staats was employed by American Cyanamid in Wayne before retiring. She was a member of Our Lady of Consolation R.C. Church. Mrs. Staats is survived by her beloved children: Lillian Staats and George Staats and her loving siblings: William, John, Robert and James Spates, Louise Milne and Jeanette Boccabella and many dear nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, John in 1986. Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. The funeral will be Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Of Consolation R.C. Church, 1799 Hamburg Tpke., Wayne, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
