Obituary of Luthan Samuel Lebert

Luthan Samuel Lebert, age 68, died Thursday, February 4, 2010 at home in Paterson. Mr. Lebert was born May 1, 1941 in Mount Vernon, St. Thomas, Jamaica, the son of the late Eustace Augustus and the late Iris (Fredrica) Lebert. He lived in Paterson. Mr. Lebert was senior deacon at First Baptist Church of Paterson as well as a past deacon and Secretary of the Yallalis Baptist Church in Jamaica. Until his death, he was an employee at Stryker Orthopaedics in Mahwah. Deacon Lebert leaves his loving children, Lorna, Hugh, Cavin, Devor, Caron and Ellisa; 25 devoted grandchildren; 6 cherished great grandchildren; his dear brother Cyril and sister Hilda and numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy (Wignal) in 2007. Visiting hours will be at the First Baptist Church of Paterson, 95 Washington Street in Paterson on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 13 at 9:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Paterson and will be celebrated by Rev. Bill Jackson. Interment will be at Fair Lawn Memorial Park.
