Obituary of Peter Joseph Polizzo

Peter Joseph Polizzo, age 74, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack. Mr. Polizzo was born November 20, 1935 in Newark, the son of the late Joseph and the late Dominica (Burdi) Polizzo. He lived in Wayne and was formerly of Hillside and Bricktown. Mr. Polizzo was employed by Wells Fargo in Linden before retiring. He previously owned and operated Charlotte's Pizza in Hillside and The Home Deli in Brielle. Mr. Polizzo attended Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church in Wayne. Mr. Polizzo was the Beloved father of Mary Ann White, Patricia Polen, Charlotte Polizzo and Stephanie Cropper; Loving partner of Eleanor Axelrod and Devoted grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandsons. He was predeceased by his wife, Charlotte (Salvatoriello) and a daughter, Katherine Budden. Visiting hours will be Friday from 3-7 p.m. The funeral service will be Friday at 6:30 pm at Moore's Home for Funerals and will be celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo. Private cremation to follow.
