Obituary of Myles Walsh
Myles Walsh, age 39, formerly of Andover, NJ, died on the 24th of August from complications due to Huntington's Disease. His mother, Colleen Walsh Barnes, and sister, Nicole Walsh, were by his side. Myles is also survived by his son Kai Yamasaki Walsh, age 9, and his brother Jason Walsh. Myles was an avid skier and cyclist, devoted father, and loving uncle to Maceo and Maylyn Golossi. Throughout his battle with Huntington's Disease he continued to find joy in the little things; like a big bowl of ice cream or a good one liner. He was grateful for those around him, whom he loved, and when he was only capable of saying very little, still made an effort to always say, "I love you," and "thank you".
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 28th from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside memorial service will follow on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 52 Totowa Road, Totowa.
In lieu of flowers his family requests donations in his name be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America to aid in finding a cure and to help others who are suffering from this devastating disease.
