Poppy was one of the most amazing men in my life. He has taught me to be strong. As a child he would take me fishing,shopping for antiques,apple/pumpkin picking with the other kids. He also taught me how to grow a garden (even though mine were tiny). His tomatoes have always been the best!
Poppy was known all around his neighborhood and loved by many. He had the heart of a cowboy and talked about the woods as a place to talk to God. He had a strong imagination and I think that is where I got it from. He was known for talking a lot, but I never minded. I actually got that gift from him as well. He was an amazing husband to my grandmother and father to my mother,aunt,and uncles. And of course, an amazing grandfather. I am lucky to be his grandchild.
