Obituary of John J. Leitner

John J. Leitner, age 83, died Friday, November 27, 2009 at Southern Ocean Center, Manahawkin. Mr. Leitner was born October 28, 1926 in Paterson, NJ the son of the late Ignate and the late Teresia (Polzer) Leitner. He lived in Barnegat in 1999 and was formerly of Wayne since 1949. He served in the US Army during World War II. He was employed by ITT, Paramus as an Accountant before retiring. Mr. Leitner was a former member of Annunciation Of The Blessed Virgin Mary R.C. Church, Wayne and more recently at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Barnegat. He was also a member of the VFW Post # 10092, Barnegat and the BPO Elks Lodge # 2340 Manahawkin. He is survived by his wife the former : Helen M. (Schmidt) and many cousins. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4-7pm The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 am at Moore's Home For Funerals, 1591 Alps Road, Wayne will be Celebrated by Fr. Michael D. Lombardo.
