Obituary of Helen Mildred Kuhn
Helen Mildred (Black) Kuhn, age 91, died peacefully on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Atrium at Wayne. Mrs. Kuhn was born June 18, 1922 in Fanwood, NJ the daughter of the late James and the late Helen (Houghton) Black. She was a resident of Westfield and formerly of Toms River. She was a graduate of Overlook School of Nursing where she became an LPN. Helen was employed by Overlook Hospital in the orthopedics and pediatrics department. Later she worked at Summit Medical Group. Mrs. Kuhn was a former member of Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Westfield, NJ. She was a Girl Scout leader and a volunteer at the medical records department for over 10 years at Community Medical Center in Toms River.
She is survived by her two daughters: Patricia M. Gray and Marilyn C. and her husband Allan Weinstein, brother: Robert Black, 3 grandsons: Christopher R. Gray, Samuel C. Weinstein and Timothy Y. Weinstein. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan E. Kuhn, brother: James Black and 3 sisters: Dorothy Vanderbeck, Virginia Rinaldi, and Margaret Mary Black.
Visiting hours will be Friday from 4-8 PM.
The funeral Mass will be Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes and will be celebrated by Fr. Gonzalo Goode.
Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
