Obituary of Michael E. Baliga

Michael E. Baliga, age 63, died Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, Paterson. Mr. Baliga was born February 1, 1946 in New York, NY the son of the late Emil L. and the late Palmina (Mariconi) Baliga. He lived in Totowa. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam War and received the Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars and the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon. He was employed by CitiBank in New York as an account manager. Mr. Baliga was a member of American Legion Post # 227 in Totowa.Mr. Baglia is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Christine (Grohmann); his cherished granddaughter, Danielle; his dear sister, Patricia Del Bianco and brothers, Gene, John and Donald; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas and Christopher. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and there will be a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. with Fr.
