Obituary of Manuel Serra

Manuel Serra, Jr., age 74, died Monday, July 13, 2009 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock Twsp. Mr. Serra was born October 28, 1934 in New York, NY the son of the late Manuel and the late Anne (Eskiewicz) Serra. Mr. Serra was the husband of the late Roberta (Welch) (2002); father of the late Mark (1992), and loving son Dana Serra; dear brother of Dianne and Carol; and cherished uncle of 7 nieces and nephews. Mr. Serra lived in Butler for the last 10 years and in West Milford for 22 years prior. He was the owner/operator of MBA Import and Export Trucking Company in Brooklyn, NY. After selling the business, he was semi-retired and worked for Sherdell Transfer. For the last two years, he spent summers working at Fayson Lakes. Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Magnificat R.C. Church, 2 Miller Rd., Kinnelon. Cremation to follow.
